It's almost been a year since the last time I wrote. This time I do it to say goodbye.
Okiwi has been the story of a developer who started a project with great enthusiasm and desire, who spent a year working on it and learning. It was overwhelming to see how each new development news was around the globe and was listed on web sites dedicated to the scene.
As you know, there came a time when I could not continue to develop at a reasonable pace and decided to form a coordinating team that thought. This call was not unheeded. But not believing me capable of directing a project, I decided to choose a coordinator among those who had written and were ready. This time there were no volunteers.
The possibility of trying it myself was canceled completely new life into my professional and academic projects, which sold 100% of the time available. So I got to wait and see if I had any idea, something that has not happened.
So after all this time these lines public to officially announce the cancellation of the project on my part. Warmly thank everyone who has followed the project, has encouraged me or has provided to help and I apologize for having taken so long to give news.
In any case, if someone believes they can still get something out of the project, has the code source at your disposal.
Perhaps in the future again have time to devote to computing as a hobby, not as work but not give him to Okiwi. Next time do not sell the bear's skin before the hunt (which, moreover, I am not hunting for that reason).
A hug.
Inglés version: The End
It's Almost a year Since the last time I posted here. This time I'm doing it to say goodbye.
Okiwi has-been the story of a programmer Who willingly undertook the project. Who Was Somebody working on it and learning for a year. It was amazing to see information about the Every New Development going around the globe and seeing it tracked in scene related sites.
As you already know, going on developing at a reasonable speed became impossible, so I decided to create a team I would coordinate. This call wasn't unattended. But, believing I wasn't able to manage such a project, I change my decision to choose a coordinator among those who had replied and were willing to dot it. This time there were no volunteers.
The possibility of trying to do it myself was just not an option due to the fact that I came across new academic and professional projects, which took the 100% of my available time. So I waited for some idea to appear in my mind, a thing which didn't happen.
So time after it I post this words to oficially announce the cancellation of this project as far as it regards me. I thank warmly everyone who has tracked thr project, has encouraged me or has offered as a volunteer, and I apologize for so much time took to post news.
Regardless, if somebody thinks the project may still give something, the source code is completely available for him.
Perhaps sometime in the future I have again time to devote to computers as a hobby, and not as a job, but I won't devote it to Okiwi. The next time I won't count my chickens before they are hatched.
Best wishes.
